Grapes doin’ time…

In the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains, there’s an old stone building with bars on the windows that overlooks our small vineyard. Legend has it that the local lawman locked up the hooligans here to cool down until they went before the magistrate. Now we use The Calaboose to incarcerate our wine before it makes its escape to you!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

We found this on a road trip. Did the wine tastings. The wines were very good! A lot of folks showed up for a 2008 class reunion and a 50th birthday party. We were invited to join the festivities. The band set up and put on an incredible show!.

This vineyard is a MUST!!! The owner Mrs.Judy is such a sweetheart. She really took care of our group and gave us the best options. The best thing is that it’s a vineyard and brewery. Best vineyard In the state!!.

What’s a Calaboose?

It’s a small jail normally made out of stone. We are located in the town’s first jail!

Still the smallest winery in the country?

Probably not.  We were though!  Now our brewery downtown is also the winery.

Upper Hiwassee Highlands AVA

Straddles both North Carolina and Georgia. Ask us how we got it!
